I got the call a mere 10 days before the first Skateboarding Hall of Fame event that went down Oct 24th at the Vans Orange park. "Tod can you make and bronze some skateboards for awards for event?" I was all f**k that. Ten days really!?!? Since it was only four awards I reluctantly agreed to do something. I talked to Jim at Watson and we came up with a plan. Hand made WL630 decks. Stringers with fiberglass. Wes Humptson did the hand lettering which we silk screened on the four decks and then Mikey Ratt hand pinstriped each one. Fiberglass went over this to encapsulate the art. Suregrip trucks and wood wheels which we lasered for each inductee.
Who are they for? Bruce Logan, Tony Alva, Tony Hawk and Danny Way. Congratulations to them. The first four inductees to the Skateboarding Hall of Fame.
